Independent study aid. Oz Driver Knowledge Test is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or authorised by any Australian government or state road authority, and does not represent any government entity or provide government services. Official test information and the road users' handbooks are published by each state's road authority — in New South Wales, Transport for NSW.

Everything you need, nothing you don't

No account, no sign-in, no ads. Just the material and the practice.

The official handbook

Every chapter of your state's road users' handbook, split into readable sections. Bookmark the rules you keep forgetting and search the whole thing in a second.

Real test format

Full-length practice tests built to your state's actual paper — including the separate section pass marks, so a strong overall score can still fail you exactly like the real thing.

Flashcards & Smart Review

Spaced repetition puts your time where you're weakest. Drill the numbers that catch people out: speed limits, distances, BAC and demerit points.

Daily Lesson

A short, focused session you can finish in a few minutes a day, plus a five-minute refresher when that's all the time you have.

Works fully offline

Content and questions are bundled with the app. No connection needed after install — useful underground, in the bush, or on prepaid data.

Private by default

No account and no sign-in. Your progress, bookmarks and notes stay on your device. We don't sell data and there are no ads. Read the policy.

Built for your state, not a national average

There is no single Australian driver test. Each state and territory sets its own road rules, question bank and pass mark. Pick yours and the whole app follows — the handbook you read, the questions you practise, and the bar you're measured against.

Questions

Is this the official government test?

No. Oz Driver Knowledge Test is an independent study aid with no affiliation to any road authority. It is not the real test and passing it does not give you a licence. The study material is based on the official handbook published by your state's road authority; book the real test through them.

Are the questions the real exam questions?

No — the real question banks aren't published. Our questions are written to match the official format and cover the same source material, including your state's section split and pass marks, so the shape of the test is familiar on the day.

Do I need an internet connection?

Only to download the app. Everything after that — handbook, questions, flashcards, progress — is stored on your device and works with no connection.

Which states are covered?

New South Wales, Victoria and Queensland at launch, with Western Australia, South Australia, Tasmania, the ACT and the Northern Territory in progress. You can switch state at any time in Settings, and your progress in each is kept separately.

Is it a subscription?

No. Reading the handbook is free forever. Full Access is a single one-time purchase that unlocks the practice test, mock test, flashcards and Smart Review. If you reinstall or change device, use Restore Purchase in Settings.

What data do you collect?

No account, no sign-in, no ads, and nothing about how you study. We measure only the purchase flow — how many people who see the paywall go on to buy — so we can tell whether it's working. Details are in the privacy policy.
