Privacy Policy
Effective 1 September 2026 · Applies to the Oz Driver Knowledge Test mobile app for Android and iOS, and to this website.
The short version. There is no account and no sign-in. Everything you study — your progress, bookmarks, notes and settings — stays on your device and is never sent to us. We measure one thing only: the steps of the in-app purchase flow, so we can tell whether it is working. We do not show ads, we do not sell data, and we do not track how you study.
1. Who we are
Oz Driver Knowledge Test ("the app") is published by Invogo. In this policy "we" and "us" mean the publisher, and "you" means the person using the app. You can reach us any time at support@invogo.com.au.
2. What the app collects
The app collects a small, fixed set of analytics data about the purchase flow, and nothing else. This is the complete list.
| What | Why | Who receives it |
|---|---|---|
| Purchase flow events. That the upgrade screen was shown, that you tapped to buy, that the store's payment screen opened, and whether the purchase completed, was cancelled, or failed (with a short reason). | To see how many people who see the offer go on to complete a purchase, and to find the point where the flow breaks. | Google (Firebase Analytics) |
| Your selected state or territory (for example NSW), attached to those purchase events. | So we can tell whether the app works better for some states than others. | Google (Firebase Analytics) |
| Standard app and device information collected automatically by Firebase Analytics: a randomly generated app instance identifier, device model, operating system version, app version, language, and an approximate region derived from your IP address. | To make the numbers above meaningful and to diagnose problems affecting particular devices. | Google (Firebase Analytics) |
| Advertising ID. On Android, Firebase Analytics reads the device Advertising ID. | Analytics only. We have explicitly disabled ad personalisation signals, we run no ad network, and we do no remarketing or ad targeting. | Google (Firebase Analytics) |
| Purchase confirmation. Whether your device owns the one-time Full Access purchase. | To unlock the paid features and to support "Restore Purchase". | Google Play or Apple |
We never receive your card number, bank details, billing address or store account credentials. Payments are handled entirely by Google Play or Apple under their own privacy policies.
3. What stays on your device
The following is stored only in the app's own storage on your device. It is not transmitted to us, and we have no way to read it:
- Which lessons and sections you have completed, your streak and study progress
- Practice and mock test results and history
- Bookmarked questions and any notes you write on them
- Flashcard and Smart Review scheduling
- Settings: selected state, language, theme, text size, contrast
- The downloaded handbook and question banks
Uninstalling the app removes all of it permanently. There is no cloud backup of this data on our side, so it does not transfer between devices.
4. What we never collect
- Your name, email address, phone number or postal address
- Precise or GPS location
- Contacts, photos, files, calendar, microphone or camera
- Which questions you got right or wrong, or anything else about how you study
- Any content you type into the app, including your notes
The app requests only the INTERNET permission on Android, which it uses to download itself and to send the purchase analytics described above.
5. Content and translation
The handbook, questions, lessons and flashcards are bundled with the app and read from your device. The app does not send the material you read, or anything you write, to us or to any third party.
6. Advertising and selling data
The app contains no advertising and no third-party ad software. We do not sell, rent or trade your information, and we do not share it with data brokers. The only third parties that receive anything are the ones named in the table above, each acting as our service provider.
7. Children
The app is a study aid for people preparing for a driver licence knowledge test and is intended for a general audience. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
8. Your choices and your rights
Stopping collection
- Reset or delete your Advertising ID. Android: Settings → Privacy → Ads. iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
- Uninstall the app. This stops all collection and erases everything stored on your device.
Access and deletion
Because there is no account, the analytics we hold is pseudonymous — it is tied to a randomly generated app instance identifier, not to you. We therefore cannot look you up by name or email. If you would like the analytics data associated with your installation deleted, email support@invogo.com.au and we will action it; including the approximate date and your device model helps us locate the right records. We will respond within 30 days.
Depending on where you live you may also have rights to access, correct, or object to the handling of your personal information. We handle personal information consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). If you are unhappy with our response you may complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
9. Where data is held
Analytics data is processed by Google on infrastructure that may be located outside Australia, including in the United States. By using the app you consent to that transfer. Google's handling is governed by the Firebase privacy and security terms and the Google Privacy Policy.
10. Retention
Analytics events are retained by Firebase under our configured retention period and are then deleted automatically. Data stored on your device is retained until you clear it or uninstall the app.
11. Security
Analytics is transmitted over encrypted connections. Because we hold no accounts, no passwords and no payment details, there is no store of personal data on our side to breach. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
12. This website
This site is static and serves no advertising. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and embeds no third-party trackers or fonts. Our host may keep standard server logs, including IP addresses, for security and reliability.
13. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes we will update this page and change the effective date at the top. Material changes affecting what we collect will also be noted in the app's release notes. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated policy.
